In Celebration of

Brenda Timmons (née Vallie)

June 13, 1944 -  July 23, 2021

A daughter, a wife, a mother, an aunt, a grandmother, a friend... on Friday, July 23, 2021, each of us sadly lost the special role that Brenda Joan Vallie played in our lives. She was 77.

Born in Verdun on June, 13, 1944, Brenda was an only child raised by her late parents, Charles Earle Vallie and Janet Vallie (nee Brown). Last residing in Pointe-Claire, she leaves to mourn her husband of almost 58 years, William Joseph Timmons, her daughters Lori (Mark Shelest) and Kimberly (Alexandre Cloutier), and 7 grandchildren who kept her glowing with pride - Trevor (inheriting her love of seafood), Jessica (inheriting her love of travel), Shane (inheriting her love of hockey), Nina (inheriting her love of books), Zoe (inheriting her self confidence), Ross (inheriting her love of trivia), and Kate (inheriting her love of shopping).

She suffered greatly in her final days but still managed to smile - reminding us how remarkably strong and stubborn she was when faced with adversity. Brenda walked a no-nonsense straight line in business and relationships, was generous beyond measure, passionate about exploring her Scottish (and not so Scottish) roots through genealogy, and never missed a chance to cheer on "her" HABS.

We are left with a void in our hearts.

A service to celebrate her life well lived will be held at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 @ 12pm. Please Note: Because of Covid restrictions please RSVP your intention to attend. Guests are allowed to arrive 20 minutes prior to the service and unfortunately a reception will not follow at this time.

The family extends heartfelt thanks for the kindest and most compassionate care that she received while at The Montreal Jewish General Hospital - most especially Dr. Schwartz and nurse Fatime in ICU. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to this incredible hospital or a charity of your choice.
