Blanca Flor Mendez passed on peacefully in her sleep at the caring community of Vigi Reine-Elizabeth in Nôtre Dame de Grâce on Jan 10, 2019. Born on December 30, 1925 in Barahona, Dominican Republic, she was the oldest child of 6 children born to parents Juana Rosa Méndez and Damaso Cuevas. She came to Montréal, Québec in June 1972 and made a lasting impact by honoring and servicing her community, family and Church.

Her powerful legacy lives on through her 2 children Irma and Giovanni, her 8 grandchildren Elizabeth, Michael, Naheed, Damaris, Joan Rose, Juan, Pablo and Suray, 10 great-grandchildren and her soon to arrive great-great-grandchildren, all through which her spirit eternally lives on.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to all the staff at Vigi Reine Elizabeth for their attentiveness and loving care. Blessings and prayers can be made at any time in Blanca Flor's name.

A viewing service will be held on Monday Jan 14, 2019 from 1-3pm at Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, H2V 2P9, 5147-279-6540, followed by the burial.
