In Celebration of

Betty Grinstein (nee Leznoff)

June 11, 1921 -  May 13, 2019

With great sadness, we announce that Betty Grinstein [nee Leznoff] passed away in her home on May 13, 2019.

Betty was the beloved wife of the late Lorne Grinstein, loving mother of Bonnie (Fred Saibil) and Geoffrey (Elli Lee), proud grandmother of Jeremy (Jenny Wong) and Sam (Jennifer), and adoring great grandmother of Ben, Leah, and Noa. She was a devoted sister of Louis, Aaron (Grace), and the late Joseph (Ruth), and Jeffrey Morris Leznoff.

Betty lived most of her life in Montreal, and had many dear friends. She was a lifelong lover of books and music, and took great pleasure from going to the theater, doing the crossword, and summers in Vermont, surrounded by family and friends.

She will be remembered as a truly classy lady with a gentle, generous spirit and great empathy.

The family is very grateful to Betty's kind, devoted caregivers, Georgina, Charity, Cecile, Ana Maria, and Jackie, and to the caring staff on the 8th floor of the Jewish General Hospital.

A reception in her memory will be held on Tuesday, May 21, from 1:30 to 3:30 PM at the:
Mount Royal Funeral Complex,
1297 Chemin de la Foret,
Outremont, Qc H2V 2P9

Hi Geoff,
So sorry to hear about your loss. Your mom, as we all can relate to, was a very classy and most patient lady. As you reminded me, at the Wagar reunion, a window should always be opened prior to tossing an ice cream on the driveway, from the second floor! May she rest in peace.
Most sincerely,
Harvey and Elaine Goldberg
