It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Berta Csillag (Hennig) at the Lakeshore General Hospital on April 19 at the tender age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Frank Csillag and the late Karl Steinbrenner.

She will be remembered as a kind and loving mother to her sons Harry Steinbrenner (Anne Landry) and Frank J. Csillag (Angelina Csillag). A much-adored Oma to Erica Csillag Summerlin, Lisa Marie Steinbrenner (Daniel Perez), Katherine Steinbrenner (Carson Chiu) and Natalie Steinbrenner (Steven Argyrakos) and a Great Grandmother to Croix, Pace, and River Summerlin.

She will also be mourned by many friends and relatives in Canada, Germany and Hungary.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private funeral will be held at the Mount-Royal Funeral Complex on Tuesday April 27 by invitation only.

In lieu of flowers and in remembrance of Berta’s life, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada (alzeimer.ca) or to a charity of your choice.
