Barbara Zaharescu (née Brunner) died peacefully on July 19th 2021 at the age of 91. She proved to be strong in life and death, singing even in her final days.

Predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Dumitru Zaharescu. She is survived by her children, Désirée (Brent McNicoll) and Remus (Tanya Bryan), and her grandchildren, Meghan, Wrease and Mika.
She will be missed and fondly remembered by friends and family.

A special thank you to the Résidence Sélection on Nun’s Island (particularly the 3rd floor) and the Verdun Hospital, where she spent her final days.

Funeral to be held at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex at 1297 chemin de la Forêt, Outremont on Saturday August 7th at 2pm.
