For the occasional visits over the years , it was always heart warming to get a glimpse of recognition from Auntie Antoinette ,( who pierced my ears on her kitchen table ! ) as I used to call her !!
I'd like to extend my deepest sympathies to all who cared and loved her... especially Auntie Esther and Aunt Joan, Diane and Doug and Gina and family.
Always in our hearts,
Esterina xoxo
“Aunty,” “Aunt Toni” was what my sister and I called her. This resilient, intuitive, savvy, nurse was truly the loyal matriarch of a family who often benefitted from her ability to provide medical care. With high standards and integrity, Aunty devotedly sacrificed much of her life to care for her mother, Savina DiTolve Forcillo, until she passed away in 1984 to be reunited with her husband, Biagio Forcillo who passed on in 1963. Amongst the many others she tended to and nursed back to health was her youngest sister of 11, Esterina, when she contracted pleurisy as a teenager. This unwavering duty, and sacrifice for those that she loved, was expressed through her service. She shall be remembered fondly as an authentic and practical lady. Undoubtedly greeted by her predeceased parents, siblings and friends, she now joins them to surely supervise the family in some capacity :). Her passing is merely an interruption, a brief pause, that will one day seem insignificant compared to the eternal joy awaiting the faithful. Until we meet again, Aunty. I am happy that I was able to see you in 2015 when last I visited Montreal. Thank you for saving my life. I remember all the shots that you gave me that healed me. Rest in peace. You will be missed and I love you. Esterina Forcillo Cadiente
Aunty Anna was a gracious and elegant woman, a dedicated nurse, and an inspiring aunt for her many nieces and nephews. As a child, I was terrified when I saw her getting ready to give me an injection, then comforted by her soft voice and big hug. As an adult, I was touched by the affection shown towards her older sister, the two of them talking for hours on the phone late into the night. Thanks for the memories, sleep well my dear Aunt. Love, Linda
