Marie started her work life as a teenager helping to build ships during the war effort in Pictou, N.S. After the war she left her beloved Nova Scotia to live the rest of her life in Quebec. Many years in Noranda working for Dominion Stores, and later in Montreal for Dominion/Provigo to eventually retire from the TMR Provigo store as the Bookkeeper. She spent many afternoons at the Big O cheering on her favourite Expos and many weekends at Blue Bonnets enjoying the horse races She was also a major fan of Coronation Street. In her retirement she spent much time volunteering with a senior citizens group at a local church in NDG. We would like to thank the staff of CHSLD Vigi Mont-Royal, in particular 2 West, for the excellent care she received. In the 2-1/2 years she spent there, she was treated with love and dignity. Due to the current health crisis, a family service will be held at a later date. Mom, Rest in Peace.
