In Celebration of

Alois Fogl

May 20, 1925 -  September 6, 2021

Alois Fogl passed away peacefully at the age of 96, after defying the odds through numerous medical issues in the past years.
He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Rose Wilfer, and his beloved son Peter Joseph.
His daughter Anita (Vladimir Zicha) and his grandsons Stephen (Sandra) and Nicholas (Tanya) will greatly miss the patriarch of the family whose advice and council they cherished. The greatest joys of Alois’ life were his great grandchildren Danica, Alex, Damian and Blake who will keep “Dado” in their hearts forever.
Alois lived a very full and happy life. He immigrated to Canada from Czechoslovakia in 1948 and never forgot his roots. Over the years he was an active member of Montreal’s Czech community being the past President of the Sokol Gymnastic Association and the recipient of the Masaryk Award to acknowledge his work within the Czech community.
He was the President/founder of Anton Wilfer Reg’d where he catered to the needs of musicians and their stringed instruments for over 45 years.
Alois was a kind, quiet and generous man who loved to travel and enjoyed get togethers with family and friends where he eloquently shared his many experiences in life. He loved to tend to his blueberry bushes and go mushroom hunting in the country.
He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on.
The celebration of his life will be on October 8, 2021, but due to Covid restrictions, those wishing to participate must RSVP Anita or participate virtually by joining the live streaming online starting at 11am at: funeraweb.tv

Dear Anita,
most sincere sympathy at the loss of your father. It is always hard to accept, he is at peace with his God. He certainly was a patriarc to the Czech community. He was
involved in all activities at which I was many times present with my husband Vlada.
I loved to hold his hand in the chapel during Our Father!
He will be greatly missed but will stay in our hearts!
Condolences to all members of his family.

I remember so many wonderful vacations with the Fogl family and Alois Fogl was always a calming spirit. His gentle manners and happy demeanor will never be forgotten. I am now truly orphaned.
