In Celebration of

Allin Gould

May 27, 1946 -  November 12, 2019

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Allin Gould on November 12th, 2019 after a long and valiant struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Allin leaves in mourning his beloved wife Lynn and his adored children Michael, Natasha and Patrick, of whom he was so very proud. He will be missed by his sister Nancy and her sons as well as by his in-laws Lorne, Janet, Pierre, Josée, Sylvie and their families.
Al was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to George and Elizabeth Gould. He completed his PhD in physics at the University of Manitoba and came to Montreal in 1972 to teach physics at John Abbott College. Al will be fondly remembered by Jim and Les as well as by many other friends and colleagues for his kind and generous spirit. Many thanks to the staff at Ste Anne’s Hospital and at the CLSC for treating Al with the utmost dignity, respect and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Morgan Arboretum would be appreciated.

A funeral service will be held on November 24th, 2019 at 3 p.m. at the Belvedere Funeral Complex, 22025 Trans-Canada, Senneville, Qc, H9X 0B2, 514 457-4440. The family will receive the condolences an hour before the celebration of his life.

Al and I started together in 1972 in the Physics Department at John Abbott College. In later years he aand his family were our next door neighbours in Baie d'Urfe until we moved to Vancouver Island. He was a brilliant, kind man. I will always recall with happiness the many hours that we spent together.
Lynn, Michael, Natasha and Patrick , Ann and I offer our sincerest sympathies.
