In Celebration of

Aileen Notley (née Campbell)

September 11, 1928 -  August 31, 2018

Eleven days short of her 90th birthday, Lee died peacefully at Sunrise Beaconsfield after a period of 18 months of deteriorating health. While life became more of a struggle for her, the warmth of her smile and kind ways never deserted her.

Lee spent most of her life in Pointe-Claire, connected to her neighborhood and a friend to many. She held a deep attachment to her church, St. Columba By The Lake Presbyterian where she served as an elder and is remembered for the warm welcome and care that she offered to all she encountered.

After her husband, Bill, died in 1976, Lee helped to found Minus One, a group for those who found themselves alone in middle age. She is remembered with love by her three children, their spouses, and seven grandchildren: Catherine, Ian and Jake of Pointe-Claire; Leslie, Ken, Geoffrey, Blayne and Colin of New Orleans; Ross, Edith, Matthew, Laura and Stephen of Nanaimo.

We are especially grateful to the staff of both the Sunrise and the Wellesley for their kindness and care to Lee over the past 10 years.

A service of thanksgiving and remembrance will be held at St. Columba By The Lake Presbyterian Church, 11 Rodney Avenue, Pointe-Claire, QC H9R 4M4 on Monday, September 10th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Columba.
