Victor Ego Miller passed away on Sunday August 12, 2018, on what was his 88th birthday, at his residence in Dorval, Quebec, Canada.

Born to Alide Miller on August 12, 1930, Victor spent his youth in his home country of Belgium, where he eventually studied business in university, specializing in accounting. He then spent 5 years in the Belgian army before immigrating to Canada in 1955 and becoming a Canadian citizen in 1965.

His first job upon arriving in Canada was as a porter at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, followed by stints with Sunlife, Quebec Natural Gas and the Royal Vic again. He then embarked on a 33-year career at IBM in 1960, before retiring in 1993.

He married Elena Victoria Wall Izquierdo on October 16, 1963, which was also her birthday. They were together for 35 years, until she passed away on February 17, 1999.

After having lived in Montreal (downtown and the South Shore), Quebec City and California in his first twenty years after immigrating, Victor settled in Beaconsfield, Quebec with Elena, son Daniel, and daughter Diane in 1976, for what was to be 40 years.

He sold his beloved house (and vegetable garden) in 2016 and lived in residences on the West Island until his death.

Victor is survived by his son, Dan (Josee), his daughter, Dee (Andy), and his grandchildren, Nicholas and Kyle.
