Valentins Kletnieks

Passed away in Montreal after a brief hospital stay on December 26th, 2017 at the age of 100 years.

He was predeceased by his wife, Zinaida Kletnieks (Romanovs) and his late son Maris Kletnieks. A devoted father and grandfather, Valentins leaves behind his daughter Sandra (Menas), and sons Karl (Claude) and Ivars (Diane), along with his grandchildren (Laris, Marissa, Philip and Richard) and eight great-grandchildren.

Valentins retired from Hydro-Quebec in 1982, and during his retirement, cultivated his love of music. He was known to play the piano and guitar for everyone around him, often composing his own songs and he will be missed by many.

Visitation will take place on Friday, February 2nd, 2018, at 11am at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, including a Funeral Service from 12:30pm to 1pm. A celebration of his life will be held in the Reception Room immediately after.
