Obituary
Phyllis Gertrude States, age 76, of Montreal, Quebec,
passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016.
Born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, on August 11, 1940, she
was the daughter of the late Dorothy Wilhelmina States.
Phyllis was a homemaker, and enjoyed dancing, playing
cards, carrying on, laughing, and was a happy caring
person. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Eric States, Mitchell
States, Diane States, Trevor States, April States and
Roxanne States, as well as her brothers and sisters,
Eugene, John, Gail, Sandra, David, Barbara, Lorraine,
Frederick and Chester. Also several grandchildren, great
grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her twin brother Phillip States,
brother Charles States and sister Alma (States) Downey.
Visitation will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday, December 31,
2016, in Mont-Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la
Foret, Montreal, Quebec H2V 2P9, followed by the funeral
service at 11 a.m. with Reverend Brian Perron officiating.
A reception from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. will be held in the
complex following the funeral.
