Roger Chabot
1944 – 2023


It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Roger Chabot, in his 79th year, in the early hours of Sunday April 30th, Roger is survived by his son Richard and his daughter Chantale and their mother Denise Perron. He also leaves behind his sisters Juliette (late Robin) and Diane (late Lyle), his brothers Gilbert (late Judy) and Maurice (Judy) as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by: Romuald Chabot (father) and Emilia Baril (mother), Gisele (sister), Gerald (Gail) (brother), Lloyd (Lucille) (brother), Robert (Pamala) (brother) and Jean Marc (Diane) (brother).

After completing a diploma in Chemical Technology at the Northern College of Applied Arts & Technology, Roger worked and rose through the ranks of Noranda and finished his career as Superintendent of Metallurgical Services at the Canadian Copper Refinery (CCR) in Montreal-East. His retirement was much enjoyed by playing golf, curling and being in the good company of friends and family.

Visitation will be held at the Complexe Funéraire des Trembles (15005 Sherbrooke E, Montreal) on Monday May 22nd from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., immediately followed by a funeral service and a reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A private burial service will be held the following morning at 10:30 a.m

C'est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès soudain de Roger Chabot, dans sa 79e année, aux petites heures du dimanche 30 avril. Roger laisse dans le deuil son fils Richard et sa fille Chantale ainsi que leur mère Denise Perron. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses soeurs Juliette (feu Robin) et Diane (feu Lyle), ses frères Gilbert (feu Judy) et Maurice (Judy) ainsi que plusieurs nièces et neveux. Il est prédécédé par : Romuald Chabot (père) et Emilia Baril (mère), Gisèle (sœur), Gerald (Gail) (frère), Lloyd (Lucille) (frère), Robert (Pamala) (frère) et Jean Marc (Diane) (frère).

Après avoir obtenu un diplôme en technologie chimique au Northern College of Applied Arts & Technology, Roger a travaillé et gravi les échelons chez Noranda et a terminé sa carrière en tant que Chef des Services métallurgiques à la Canadian Copper Refinery (CCR) à Montréal-Est. Il a profité de sa retraite pour jouer au golf, au curling et pour être en bonne compagnie avec ses amis et sa famille.

Les visites auront lieu au Complexe Funéraire des Trembles (15005 Sherbrooke E, Montréal) le lundi 22 mai de 13 h à 16 h, suivies d'un service funéraire et d'une réception de 17 h à 19 h. L'inhumation privée aura lieu le lendemain matin à 10 h 30.
