I'm very sorry to hear of Rob's passing. My sincere condolences go out to all of his loved ones. Rob and I were life long friends. We grew up together in Kitsilano in the 60's and 70's with a cast of very colourful characters. You always knew when Rob was in the room because of his booming voice. He was never at a loss for words and never shied from offering his opinion on a wide range of topics, whether you wanted to hear it, or not. I'll miss you my friend, rest in peace.

I never would have thought that the last time I see you would have been at my wedding almost 5 years ago. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to say goodbye and thank you for everything! It all just happened so fast and was so surreal. You were the one that taught me how to throw and a catch a ball and developed a love of softball in me that has now been passed on to Kaylee. I know you were really looking forward to finally seeing her play this August at a park in Montreal only 4 minutes from your house. You told me you had felt like you won the lottery that Nationals were being held so close to you. You may not be there in person now but I know you will still be watching. Thank you for instilling in me the importance of education and how valuable books can be. I’ve been trying to pass this down to my kids :) Thank you for showing me what hard work looks like but also that life should be about work life balance. You taught me that no job, no matter the pay, should ever come before time with family. Thank you for teaching me to treat everyone as as equal regardless of race, sex, occupation, etc. I was taught to give the same respect to the janitor as the CEO of a company. No one is better than anyone else. But most of all, thank you for doing the best you could!! You were loved and you will be missed. I know you’ll be watching over me, Brenna, and the grandkids. RIP Dad. Until we meet again... I 💕💕
