Richard "Rick" McHenry

Richard (Rick) McHenry

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Richard (Rick) McHenry, July 28th, three weeks after his 60th birthday, following a courageous and dignified battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.
Rick will be lovingly remembered by his adored wife Judy (Anez), who he affectionately referred to as his “desert flower “, throughout their 38 wonderful years together. Rick was predeceased by his father, Donald, and is survived by his mother, Geraldine, brothers, Scott (Shirley), Greg, Glen, his brother in laws, Bill (Linda), Derek (Ann), his nephews, Derrick and Ryan, his nieces, Valerie (Matt), Hayley, Robyn, Christina, Stephanie, Andrea, Laura, Kelly, and his great niece Adalynn.
At an early age Rick would spend weekends racing his car at the ¼ mile speedway in Napierville, and thus began a lifelong career in the automotive performance industry. He was a long time volunteer, coaching minor hockey in Pierrefonds. An accomplished hockey player himself, he continued to play with the Pierrefonds Old-timers, his trademark, “Yes” echoing in the rink after each goal he scored. Rick’s ultimate passion was the game of golf. He was a member and assistant captain of the Saint-Raphael Golf Club, where he loved to play, rain or shine, with wife Judy.
Rick, a true gentleman, had a tremendous love for his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Condolences can be given Friday, Aug 4 from 2-5 and 7-9pm, and Saturday, Aug 5 from 1 to 3pm. Funeral service will follow at 3pm in the Belvedere Chapel. Belvedere Funeral Complex 22025 route TransCanada, Senneville, QC. 514-457-4440 Donations can be made to Myeloma Canada.
