Reusch Astri
April 8, 1945 - April 24, 2016
REUSCH, Astri
1945-2016
Died at her home in Montreal in peace and serenity on April 24, 2016, in the company of her husband Sam Stein after a long struggle with cancer. Astri was a respected artist whose works in glass have been exhibited at major museums throughout the world and installed in numerous public venues and whose large-scale sculpture, La Débâcle, is integrated into the entrance hall of the Musée de la Civilisation in Québec City.
She leaves behind her bereaved husband of 50 years, Sam Stein, her sister Anik Lopez, her in-laws George Stein (Susan), Fred Stein (Sue), Ada Mae Crouse (Irvin) and her many relatives and friends and her colleagues in the art world. She will be missed for her intelligence, charm, talent, wit, humor, sensitivity, helpfulness, courage, beauty and honesty by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
