Peter Shield

May 22, 1951 - September 14, 2018

Mr. Peter Shield passed away peacefully on September 14th, 2018 at the age of 67.

Peter is survived by his wife, Jill and sons Robert (Natalie) and Stephen (Laura) and grandchildren Thomas, Emily and James.

Peter was born on May 22nd, 1951 in England. He graduated from Bath University in 1973 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He married Jill, in 1975 and moved to Canada in 1990. After a few years, Peter founded Intertronic Solutions Inc., growing the company into a cutting-edge antenna manufacturer.

A visitation is scheduled at The Belvedere Funeral Complex in Senneville, QC for Friday September 21st, 2018 at 1pm with a funeral service at 2pm followed by a reception. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Peter’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence (https://www.mspvs.org/en/) or Nova Hudson (http://www.novahudson.com/wp/en/home/).

Words cannot describe how deeply sorry we are for the loss of Peter, our sincere

We were truly honoured to have him as part of our family. Peter was an extremely
intelligent, witty, and compassionate person.

Always a keen eye for perfection in everything he did and accomplished in life.

Peter Shield and I were great friends during our time at Bath University, I lived in the glorious city as I worked there out of College.
My wife and I attended Peter's 21st birthday celebrations in Welwyn Garden City.

We met Jill, Peter's wife once before they left for Canada, but we unfortunately lost touch after their departure from the UK.
My sincerest condolences to Jill and the family. It's funny, I only thought about Peter this morning and his uncompromising remarks to a lecturer before all 70 of us concerning an error about a material used in microwave engineering, this was in 1970 - we all knew Peter after that !!
