In Celebration of

Patricia Grafton (Marsh)

November 5, 1929 -  August 30, 2017

Patricia Joan passed away peacefully after a long illness on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by family. Beloved wife of the late Geoffrey Grafton and loving mother of Scott (Anna) and Diana (the late Gerry). Dear sister to the late Doris Edith Davidson (John) and cherished aunt to Joanne and the late Nancy and Pamela. Proud grandmother of her “Little Women” Victoria (Michael), Alexandra (Riccardo), Laura and Katie. Adoring great-grandmother of Lily. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and staff at the Vista Residence. A lifelong sports fan, she founded the Wentworth CC Junior Curling program and was President of the Wentworth CC Day Ladies. As a young widow, she forged a new career at McGill University’s Faculty of Education where she made many lasting friendships. Moving to the Vista in her 80s, she embraced her new journey with humour and enthusiasm. We will always think of her on the front porch of the family cottage on Ile Cadieux, enjoying the antics of the birds and squirrels. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Mary’s Hospital for their care and compassion. A very special thank you to family friend Joan Foster for her support, guidance, and affection over many years. A celebration of Pat’s life will take place at Mount Royal Funeral Complex On Monday, September 4, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 1297 chemin de la Forêt, Outremont (QC), H2V 2P9, (514) 279-6540. www.mountroyalcem.com. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation to the Welcome Hall Mission or the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation.

I so remember the great support Pat gave to new curlers such as myself way back in the day. She was a very interesting lady to speak with. Know that she left her mark on many. RIP Pat.
