It is with sorrow we announce the passing of Mary Janic (Yanick) Stracina peacefully on April 14, 2022 at the Lakeshore General Hospital at the age of ninety-four.

She was the best friend and beloved wife of the late Julius (Jules) Stracina, and dearly cherished by the extended Yanick, Stracina, and Tully families. She will be fondly remembered by nephew Bob Stracina (Kathy), nephew (predeceased) Gary Stracina (Douglas), nephew William Tully (Marie), nephew Michael Christopher Yanick (Sophie), niece Deborah Yanick, niece Lauri Yanick (Jason), and sister-in-law Dorothy Tofts Yanick, as well as children, grandchildren and great grandchildren from all three families. Mary is predeceased by her brother Michael Yanick, and her sister Yolanda (Alice) Yanick Tully (William Tully Sr.)

Mary lived a long and happy life as a well-loved teacher in her earlier years. She and Jules travelled extensively to see the world, and later on, in retirement, they spent many happy days dancing with and competing in several round and square dance clubs here in Montreal, and Florida.

We wish to thank all the staff at Chateau Dollard who made her stay there most comfortable and enjoyable.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date for family members.
