Marjorie C. ''Tootie'' Higginson (née McKeown)

December 24, 1921 - August 16, 2018

Passed away peacefully but unexpectedly at Residence Sainte Anne Bellevue on August 16, 2018 at the age of 96 after living a life of adventure, love and rebellion. Loving mother of Karen Thomson (Frank Opolko) and Donna Thomson (Jim Wright). Wife of the late James ‘Babe’ Thomson and of Howard ‘Bill’ Higginson. Devoted grandmother to Nicholas, Natalie, Christina, Mary and Erin.

Visitation will be held at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Forêt, Outremont H2V 2P9, on Monday, August 27th from 12 to 2 p.m., immediately followed by a service in the Funeral Complex Chapel.

Heartfelt thanks go to Mom’s extraordinary caregivers, Mercy Maula, Cathy Bichay, Jenny Larin and Glenna Matthews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ottawa Rotary Home or Canadian Blood Services.

What a lovely photo! I never had the pleasure of knowing Marjorie Higginson personally but I heard plenty of stories! No wonder her daughters + grand-daughters + grandson are such passionate, strong (+ beautiful) individuals! Our deepest condolences to the extensive family + friends of this incredible woman.
