In Celebration of

Lorna Catherine Mac Leod McMahon (nee Mac Donald)

January 23, 1925 -  July 31, 2020

Mom passed away peacefully the morning of July 31st surrounded by her three
daughters Heather, Katherine (John) and Carol (Campbell).

She was predeceased by her husband Evan Gordon Mac Leod, our father. They
celebrated 35 years of marriage until dad's death in 1984.

Mom remarried Mr. James McMahon in 1997. They were together until Jim's
death in November 2019. Mom and Jim had been dating when Jim enlisted and
was overseas for the duration of WWII. As fate would have it, they became
reacquainted over 55 years later as they were both widowers.

Mom was a vibrant and affable individual. St. Mary's Hospital was her calling. It
all started with her selling raffle tickets as a child, the proceeds went to funding
the construction of the new site of the Hospital on Lacombe avenue.
Even after school at St. Madeleine's Academy in Outremont, mom would head
over to the Hospital to volunteer. She continued to volunteer until she was in her
eighties accompanied by her partner James McMahon. She was the longest
serving volunteer in the history of the Hospital.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters, her step-daughters Sharon and
Patricia, step-son Kevin, her grandchildren Anne (Dan), Michelle (Michael),
James (Karen), Lee and Lauren, also her great-grandchildren Amos, Owen,
Riley, Olivia, Noa, Alexander, Genevieve, Jake and Evan.

The family would like to thank the staff at the CLSC Metro for their assistance.
Your expression of sympathy can be translated into a donation to the St. Mary's
Hospital foundation.

Due to the COVID19 pandemic, a Celebration of her life will be held at a later
date at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Ch. de la Foret, Outremont, Qc,
H2V 2P9.

My condolences to everyone. My thoughts are with you all in these difficult times. I’ll always remember the Easter egg hunts and family get together many years ago.
Love,
Nicholas
