In Celebration of

Loreto Carnevale

January 4, 1946 -  May 17, 2017

It is with immense sadness that we share the news that on May 17th at 2:54 am Loreto Carnevale, passed away.

He was beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. And throughout his 71 years he touched a multitude of people with his warmth, generosity and acceptance. He was a kind, loving, twinkly, bright, earthy, spirited, beautiful man. He navigated life with grace and kindness and even in the midst of a devastating illness he radiated love and graciousness. He was a tough spirit and loved the earth, always at his happiest amidst nature.

He is leaving behind many people who will feel his absence immensely. A loving wife of fifty years Iliria, his three children and their spouses, Carla & Oliver, Melitta & Aaron and Sandro & Eleanor. His sister and brother in law Giovanna & Fox, his beloved seven grandsons, Sacha, Leo, Luca, Andreas, Desmond, Isaiah and Massimo. His loving cousins Paulina, Marisa & Joe and very close, dear friends. Along with countless others he touched on a daily basis.

His absence will be deeply felt. He was a magnificent man.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada would be appreciated.

Larry you will be dearly missed, you were such a kind, loving and charming man. I always had great admiration for you and your endless abilities and talents, it seemed like you could do anything with your hands , from construction projects to sculpture and painting. You had a big open heart and you always made me feel warm and welcome in your presence. You will forever have a special place in my heart.

My heart goes out to you Lola and Melitta, Sandro and Carla, I love you guys so much , you and Larry always made me feel like a part of your family.
My deepest sympathies to you all.

Charming, smart, funny, caring, loving, kind, brave are but a few of the words that come to mind when I think of this man who has been taken from us. I will keep the image of jim smiling, coming out of the pond in his little paradise in the townships, and the taste of his wine in my heart. He will be missed.
