In Celebration of

Laurice Awada Khouri

December 26, 1933 -  April 17, 2018

Laurice passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, with her family at her side. She joins her parents, Solomon and Khaleye, her sister Nancy, and her brother Michael in their eternal rest. She will always remain in the memory of her beloved son Gregory, her sister-in-law Cheryl Zakaib-Awada, her nephew Glenn (Sharon Burgy), her niece Kim (Marc Malouf), her great-nephew Ben Awada, her great-nieces Rachel Awada, Chloe and Alexa Malouf, and all her cousins and their families. A lifelong Montrealer, Laurice will be missed by her treasured friends and by her former colleagues at the MCSC / EMSB. All who knew Laurice felt assured they had a confidante with whom they could express their greatest joys and deepest concerns, and that she would return them with loving sincerity and without judgement. Thoughts of happy summers in Cheneville will bring smiles to the faces of all who had the pleasure of spending time with her at the cottage.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, April 24, from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm, and on Wednesday, April 25, from 10 to 11 am, at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 555 rue Jean-Talon est. Funeral service will take place at the church on Wednesday, April 25 at 11 am immediately followed by the burial at Mount Royal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cedar's Cancer Foundation at the MUHC www.cedars.ca, or to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church www.saintgeorgemontreal.org.
