In Celebration of

Laszlo Bagu

March 4, 1959 -  October 3, 2022

It is with great sadness that I must announce that my Laszlo died tragically in a fire.

Loving, devoted and supportive partner of Laurie Berlin for 33 years; he was cherished as a best friend and soulmate through thick and thin ever since our first chance encounter.

Loved by the late Helen Berlin and late Nora-Lee Berlin.
He cared deeply for our adopted families Carol and Mike Harding and adored goddaughter Elise Harding plus the whole Raie family. He will be remembered by the Gottheil & Hamblin families as well.

He was the devoted brother of the late Zoltan.
He was born in Sao Paolo, Brazil to the late Geza & Erzsebet Bagu.

Laszlo’s intelligence, humour, kindness and sociability will be remembered by those who knew him.

He was always devoted to his four-legged friends and he loved the company of children. He was very creative as a writer and artist. Laszlo had many varied interests which included track and field, nature, and our treasured beach vacations. His love of life and his joie de vivre will not be forgotten. Please remember him fondly for this.

Due to Covid, this is a small, intimate gathering for close friends and family.

Visitation will be at Mount Royal Funeral Complex 1297 de la Forêt, Outremont on Thursday October 20, 2022 at 10:00.
Ceremony is in the on-site chapel at 11:00.
Burial is at 12:00 where he will be reunited with his dear brother Zoltan.
I respectfully request anyone who attends to please wear a mask for everyone 's safety.

He will be forever missed by Laurie and Bosco, but live on in our hearts, thoughts and actions.

No flowers please. If you wish, you can donate to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation: Oncology clinic or the Montreal SPCA.

Condolences may be sent to: lberlin32@yahoo.ca or the Mount Royal website.

Laszlo was such a constant. I grieve with you at his passing. It is rare to be gifted with such a friend and companion. Laurie, I remember when you met Laszlo. We met for coffee at "Dunkin"..and started the story. ...It has been a story of love and commitment.
