In Celebration of

Keith Alexander Fernie

August 4, 1963 -  May 24, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Keith Alexander Fernie, on May 24, 2018, at the age of 54. Surrounded by family, he left us peacefully, finally freed from the effects of the illness that he had fought for so long. Keith was the beloved father of Samantha and Heather, son of Moira Barclay-Fernie and the late Alastair Fernie, brother of Andrew (Brigitte), and Alison (Ron), uncle to Jacob, David, Emily, Philippe and Ryan, and friend and relative to many here and in the UK. He was an inspiration to all that surrounded him due to his constant effort to push forward for his children, and he will be missed by us all.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at all of the organizations and institutions that cared for Keith over the years, and in particular, the Montreal Neurological Hospital, Royal Victoria Hospital, CHSLD Dorval, and the West Island Palliative Care Residence.

Friends and family can pay their respects at a service of thanksgiving and celebration of his life at 1pm on Friday, June 1, 2018, at the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul, 3415 Redpath Street, Montreal, Quebec, H3G 2G2. Interment will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Keith’s memory to the Montreal Neurological Institute And Hospital, 3801 University Street, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, H3A 2B4 , or online at https://www.alumni.mcgill.ca/give/index.php?new=1&formtype=MNI.
