It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. June (nee Kennedy) Allen at the age of 92 years, on April 20, 2018. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Gordon Robert Allen (1995), daughter Deborah Jane (1958) and son Peter John (1951), as well as brothers Jack, Harry and George. As a devoted mother, her children are left to mourn her passing; Mary Lou (John), Heather (Jim), Craig (Jenny), Patricia (Rob); grandmother to Lisa (Ralph), Tanya, Pearson, Rachel, Spencer, Nolan, great-grandmother to her treasured Emma, Spencer, Leif, Duncan, Alec; beloved sister to Charles, and sister-in-law to Sally and Helen; aunt to many nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends.

We will all miss her strength, fearlessness, determination, and dedication to her Legion, Branch 14, and The Anjou United Church; before moving to the Manoir Westmount. A grateful thank you to the Manoir for giving Mom such a peaceful and loving home environment.

We will always be grateful for the compassion and special care that the nursing, doctors, and floor staff; Pavilion C, 7th floor, at The Jewish General Hospital provided to our Special Mom.

So if you need me, call and I will come
Though you can’t see me or touch me, I’ll be near.
And if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear
All of my love around you soft and clear’

Visitation will be on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. with reception to follow, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Burial will be on April 24, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Brockville Cemetery.
