In Celebration of

Joan-Carol "Jaycee" Fairon

February 2, 1941 -  August 20, 2018

Joan Carol Fairon, otherwise known as Jaycee was 77 years of age when she passed away peacefully on August 20, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was surrounded by the residents and caring staff of the Residence Le Manoir Le Sapinois in Pincourt Quebec. The family is grateful for the dedicated care they offered her during the course of her illness.

Jaycee was born on February 2, 1941 to her parents Maurice and Manée Fairon. She lived a full and adventurous life raising her 6 daughters, enjoying her 18 grandchildren and fulfilling her dreams of travel and seeing the world. She is survived by her daughters Darlene (Joseph), Christina (Peter), Nancy, Donna (Carlos), Linda (Blaine) and Debbie; her 18 grandchildren (Jean-Francois, Genevieve, Samantha, Jason, Jeffrey, Cory, David, Maggie, Mitchell, David, Angel, Joshua, Jennifer, Krystal, Tyler, Erica, Cortney, Trever; and her sister Shirley ( Johnny).

Jaycee had a strong, tenacious independent spirit which she fought to maintain up until the very last moments. She lived an unconventional life living in a camper trailer for almost 2 decades which offered her the space and freedom of the open road ahead of her. She had a passion for life, curiosity of people, loved dancing and photography. She was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a woman, an adventurer, a traveler, a nomad.

As such the family has decided to commemorate her life in a relaxed atmosphere with a celebration of life to be held on August 24, 2018 at the Maison de la Pointe at Cap – Saint – Jacques Centre de Plein Air #235, chemin du Cap-Saint-Jacques, Pierrefonds ( Québec) H9K 1C7. Her children and grandchildren would welcome anyone who would like to join the celebration.

Doors will open at 3:30 pm for a social meet and greet, followed by a Memorial service at 5:00 pm and then a dinner and toasts to her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any offerings of which will be donated to the local chapter of Alzheimer’s Foundation Support Services in Vaudrieul Dorion. Or Follow the link to make an offering to the Alzheimer's society

My memories are from afar because of our age difference but I can share a few with you.
I slept on the top bunk bed and she would have fun kicking the upper bunk. Every morning I saw her make her lumch which was always the same. Paris Pate Liver spread sandwich and a 6oz. Coke.
I would sneak up to the bedroom window to listen to her and her best friend Pearl Thistle talk about boys.
I was envious and I was anxious to grow up so I could dress like her and act like her.
This is a time to gather good life memories and hold them dear to our hearts.
May she Rest in Peace.
