I have so many fond memories of Jimmy that I don’t know where
to begin. He was a dear friend and Duncan and I valued the time we spent with him and Aggie. For a few winters we shared a cottage in the Laurentians and I’ll never forget rolling up the carpet so Aggie and Jim could practice their dance steps! I enjoyed many discussions of books with Jimmy and he introduced me to authors I did not know. He introduced us both to bird watching, an activity that we still pursue as much for the peacefulness of the surroundings as the occasional identification of a bird - not having mastered his skills. We enjoyed cross-country skiing, golf and biking with Aggie and Jim and sometimes we could keep up with them! I have kept a postcard with a funny illustration they sent telling us they had walked across England! We shared his love of St Pats and acknowledged that the Coristine verandah had the best view of the river.
We send Bill, Sue, Philip, Maura, Kevin, Naomi, James and Niall our most sincere condolences and love. We have lovely memories of Jimmy.
