In Celebration of

James (Buddy) Baillie

May 22, 1928 -  April 29, 2017

It is with immense sadness that the family announces the passing on Saturday, April 29th at his residence, Centre d'hébergement Champlain, a beloved Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather. With this sadness also comes joy that he is finally reunited with his wife and love of his life, Veleta. James leaves to mourn his daughter, Donnelda and son-in-law Larry Bouchard and daughter Cheryl-Ann Baillie; grandchildren Lorelie Bouchard (Luc Duteau), Eric (Roxane) Bouchard of Calgary and Mark Bouchard of Banff, Trevor and Kevin Penny of LaSalle; great-grandchildren Erika, Andrew, Danielle and Tyler Bouchard of Calgary, Alexandre and Philip Duteau of Chateauguay as well as his last surviving sibling, Flora Tongue of Sarnia. James lived a simple yet fulfilling life, realizing his dreamed retirement to his much loved Rawdon until his diagnosis of Alzheimer's bringing him and Veleta back to Montreal and Chateauguay. We will love and miss you forever. As a family, we would like to express our appreciation to the nursing staff and caregivers of the second floor of Centre d'hébergement Champlain for the care he was giving during his lengthy stay. In lieu of flowers a donation to a cause of your choice will be appreciated.

A visitation will be held at Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, H2V 2P9 (514) 279-6540 on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Mount Royal Funeral Complex in the chapel at 10 a.m. followed by the burial.

My deepest sympathies to you Cheryl-Ann and to you Donnelda, and your families. You two could not have done more to make sure he was taken care of the last several years. You were there for your Dad as you were for your Mother. Always remember that. Love to you all. Kathy
