I met Jacky at the Vic PCU and worked with her on the Bereavement Follow-up Team. LIke others, I was drawn to her vivacious spirit anchored in reality, as our work led us. She spoke well, with heart and humility in our Bereavement meetings, so I always listened closely when she offered her experience. Jacky had an accident that left her shaken at one time, so I used to give her Therapeutic Touch to help her cope with the resulting anxiety. I admired her resourcefulness with her involvement with the Thomas Moore Institute. She was a special person. Your obituary here captures her so well. Jacky has been on my mind for awhile now, so seeing her picture this morning seems fitting. She brings a smile to my face when I think of her. What a beautiful spirit for us to celebrate.
My sympathies to Jacky's many friends.....Jacky and I met at Thomas Moore.
On Sunday last I spoke with Jacky while she was lunching with Phillippe at NICK"S - their favourite hangout!! Jacky told me as she wakened Sunday morning she was thinking of me and then I called her a few hours later.
Jacky said she would call me when back at The Manor. About 15 minutes following my chat with Jacky
Phillippe called me (on Jacky's cell) to ask if I would attend a private party that he and Jacky
were going to plan in a salon at The Manor - I said "of course I will attend so long as there is MUSIC".
We had a nice chat and I hope to have another with him one day soon.
Tonight I will be, with friends, at the BAR LOUNGE on the Lachine Canal where I"ll raise a glass to my friend.....
As Ellen DG says "be kind to one another" you never know when your time is UP!!!!
to the family of Jackie - my profound sympathies. Indeed Jackie had la joie de vivre. I hired Jackie at the Ritz Carlton where she did our XMas decorations - always beautiful. We remain friends, we were neighbors when she lived on Drummond street, we always enjoyed a glass of wine or two together. I always appreciated her knowledge and her great mind. I did not realize her age....she looked fabulous. Diane Roch
I participated in many Thomas More courses with Jacky and always enjoyed her contributions to our discussions. I also remember her hosting a fund-raising house tour in Upper Westmount many years ago. Her energy and enthusiasm were contagious. In recent years, I would meet her in and around Westmount Manor. She was always up for a chat.
What can one say in few words about Jacky,
We met on Palliative Care floor,
Enjoyed movies , dinners entertaining
Dining at good restaurants, and as long as Jacky was the STAR ⭐️🌟
Brightened up the room as she entered it
Ups and downs , people come and go , but Friendship remained,
Need something Jacky will see you have it
Never a dull moment
You go take charge of everyone Jacky and they will all be shushing around to her
Command,
You will be Greatly Missed , a Void From People’s Lives
You were not supposed to leave us quietly and unexpected
Should have been at one of your Great Dinners
Rest In Peace
Deepest sympathy to Caroline and Bettina, two Great Daughters
Condolences to all members of family
For Ever Remembered
