Iuliana Danilevici Lupu

January 12, 1924 - July 31, 2020

Born in Rarancea, Romania.

On July 31st, 2020 Iuliana Lupu passed away at the age of 96, ‘at home and not alone’, as she wished for.

Wife of Filip Lupu (deceased 2007). Mother of Sorin (Sylvia) and Corina. Grandmother to Christopher (deceased 2019), Julia (Lionel), Emily, and Zak (Natasha). Great grandmother to Mina, Taurin, Sophie and Simi. Beloved Tante to Lucy (Jim) and Hilda. Special Grandma to Maarnie, Raynor, Katerayn and Bjorn.

Heartfelt thanks to Dr Gerald Van Gurp who also accompanied her mother to the age of 103. Thank you cousin Lucia and Jim for the visits, Sunday calls and always checking up on her. Also to Ica for being such a good friend to her for years. Lydia (and Pupulina) for the care these last months. Thank you Emma and Kiara and the CLSC team for your precious support.

By the age of 25 she had already lived a lifetime. She was strong and set the bar high. She worked tirelessly by her husband’s side to build a new life that started with four gold coins sewn into her lapel and a job as a domestic.

Her stories and that wisdom that comes with age will be missed.

Funeral service and burial will take place at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Foret Rd, Outremont, Quebec H2V 2P9 on August 31st at 10 AM. Funeral service will be held in private. You are invited to view the service online at www.funeraweb.com .

Mrs. Lupu was like a second mom .We loved talking about Romanian food ,and I will truly miss her cooking. I will miss her wisdom and especially her humour . May she rest now and may her memory be eternal. My deepest condolences to Corina, Zak, and Sorin.

She will be greatly missed, she was precious in every way, even pupulina will miss her, she lived a long ,hard ,and prosperous life, she was blessed to have the care and love surrounding her, especially by her daughter corina who took great care of her, and granted her last wish to be by her side in the end, God bless, my condolences to the family.. i could only wish i knew her longer.🥰
