It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gisela Amarica. She
was predeceased by her husband Carmil, daughter Ulrike, son Carmil junior and
sisters Anna and Gertrud; survived by her children Nick, Carmen, George
(Andrée), Gertie (Hardy), Sandu (Sue), Albert and John (Karin), and was
cherished Oma to Tara, Sasha, Alexander, Christopher, Britney, Kayla, Jade,
Sarah, Ryan, Kathelyn and Jonatan. Gisela had a great respect for nature,
planted gardens wherever she could, had a strong sense of community and
always made time for any person or just cause fortunate enough to have crossed
her path. She was active with the Home and School Association, and was
acknowledged for over 50 years of service at her children's schools and later at
the provincial level. Visitation will be at 11:00 and funeral service at 1:00 PM on
Monday, February 11, 2019 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 3594 Jeanne Mance
Street, Montreal, H2Z 1L7, followed by the burial at 2:15 at Mount Royal
Cemetery, 1297 Chemin de la Forêt, Outremont, H2V 2P9. At 3:00 PM a
celebration of her life we will held at St John's Lutheran Church
