In Celebration of

Gina Raposo

April 28, 1967 -  December 21, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Gina Raposo, on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the age of 55 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Armando, her loving children Laetitia and Raphael, her parents Justina and Victor Raposo, her siblings Maria (Vince), Justina (Alain) and Frank, the de Oliveira family, and all her nieces, nephews and many other relatives and loving friends.

Gina was a guiding figure to many, and will be remembered for her caring and accepting nature and her wise advice. Her passion for art led her to become a talented mosaic artist and teacher who loved creating artwork for her family and friends.

A visitation (10 to 11 am), followed by a service (11 am to 12 pm) will be held on January 21, 2023 at Mount Royal Funeral Complex. A private reception for close family will follow, by invite only.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the St-Raphaël Palliative Care Home and Day Centre, or the Jewish General Palliative Care Unit. We also sincerely thank Dr. Friedman, Dr. Farzin, Dr. Pollak, Dr. Ferrario, all the medical staff from the Jewish General and caregivers who accompanied her during her illness.

My condoleances to the whole family. I felt so happy to have Gina as a friend. She was always thoughtful and caring towards me. She was so kind to take care of me and give me advice during hard times. I appreciated when she invited me over her to home and to share meals with her family. I will miss you very very much. I am heartbroken for you all. She was really a splendid and wonderful woman. Suzanne
