Dear Aviva,
We are so sorry to hear about your mmother's passing. She was so strong. We knew her since the 70s or maybe my mother even earlier. She was always a kind and stylish lady. She was a good friend to my mother when she was going through the same. May she rest in peace and we wish you much strength for the coming weeks and months.

I have known Gerlinda for many decades but I lived away from Montreal for many years. Gerlinda was my mother Madeleine's hairdresser for at least 45 years and she so looked forward to seeing Gerlinda at her weekly appointments. When she spent a few months every winter in Palm Beach my mother would bemoan the fact that no one could do her hair like Gerlinda! No one held that brush like Gerlinda!
Gerlinda was a true lady, refined and understated. She had class and we will always hold her dear to our hearts.

It was only by chance that I came upon this notice as I haven't lived in Montreal for many years. In the late 198o's I was a model for a short article in the newspaper about the salon. I was searching for the henna I knew and loved years ago when I found the obituary. I'm so very sad to hear this.
