In Celebration of

George Dampolias

December 13, 1949 -  October 22, 2017

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of George Dampolias. He is predeceased by his parents Katherine and John and his brother Constantine (Nelly).

The highlight of George's life was his family. His beloved wife Christiana (Chris), his children Katherine, Dimitra (Charles) and his life line was his grandchildren, Theodore, Victoria, Angelina and Evana.

George was blessed with so many wonderful people and lifelong friends. He will be lovingly remembered by colleagues from Combustion Engineering and Atomic Energy of Canada. George always treasured his twenty years at Velan and all the wonderful and extraordinary people he met and befriended.

He is solemnly grieved by his sister-in-law Kay (George), his brother-in-law George (Mary), nephews and nieces, Dimitra, Leo, Maria, Jim (Courtney), Leon (Vivika), Alexander, Lauren, Sophie and Ambrose.

Special thanks for their love and support: Mary Ellen, Claudine, Monique, Linda, Kally, Sarah, Dr. Neamt, Dr. Iancu.

Visitation will take place on Friday October 27, 2017, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 chemin de la Forêt, Outremont, QC H2V 2P9.

Funeral Service will be on Saturday October 28, 2017 at 12 p.m. at St Constantine and St Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 20 Brunswick Boulevard, Dollard des Ormeaux, QC H9B 2N8.

Burial following church service at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 701 Donegani Avenue, Pointe-Claire, QC H9R 5G6.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation Fund, Trauma Center or St Constantine's and St Helen's Greek Orthodox Church.

George was a wonderful collegue and was extremely efficient in his work. Never turning down a request for help in providing information , we all benefitted from his vast knowledge.
I am truly sorry for your loss as indeed George often talked about his family with great pride and love.

Rest in peace my dear friend George. George was a wonderful person , a person with good heart , always smiling on people's faces even when he was sick or during the times of adversity . You will be missed my friend but I know you are in a better place now.
