Gabrielle Fournier "Gaby" Bartholomew

September 13, 1932 -  October 20, 2017

Gabrielle “Gaby” passed away peacefully on October 20, 2017 at Lakeshore General Hospital. She was a devoted wife and mother who will be remembered for her rare gentleness, compassion, and love of animals. The daughter of Lucien Fournier and Eva Archambault, Gaby had two sisters, Madeleine (Blotsky) and Denise (Paradis). She leaves her loving husband of 56 years Robert (“Bud”), daughter Danielle and spouse Annick Chenard, son Rob and wife Andrea Fraser, daughter Christine and husband Mark Gauthier, and grandchildren Chloe, Ella, Miranda, Claire and Morgan.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, October 29th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Mount-Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 chemin de la Foret, Outremont (QC) H2V 2P9 (514) 279-6540. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 30th at 2 p.m. followed by the burial, however visitors are welcome in the Montreal chapel from 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated (Please click on Make a Donation below in order to do so.). Please help us eradicate this devastating disease.

C'est avec tristesse que j'ai appris le décès de cette douce femme.... c'est le souvenir que j'en garderai... Oncle Bud, cousin et cousines... je vous offre mes plus affectueuses et sincères sympathies... Elle a maintenant rejoint ses sœurs et ses parents et de là-haut, elle veillera sur vous et son souvenir et son sourire resteront à jamais imprégnés dans vos cœurs... I was saddened by the news of Gaby's passing.
She was one of the kindest persons I have ever known. Pagan and I are so sorry for your loss. Know that you are in our thoughts
I am assured that you will be comforted by the memories and your love for Gaby, which will always be very much alive. I know how much you will miss Gaby but take comfort and gain strength from your family. Their love will get you through this difficult time

Cher oncle Bud, et cher cousin et cousines,
Nos sincères condoléances pour le décès de Gaby, je garde d’excellents souvenirs de cette chère tante, toujours souriante, distinguée, discrète et exemplaire, elle nous manquera à tous, mais la bible, la parole de Dieu, nous donne un espoir pour nos chers disparus, dans l’evangile de l’apôtre Jean au chapitre 5 aux versets 28-28, c’est Jésus qui parle, il dit: il va y avoir une ressurection , donc Jésus nous donne l’espoir de revoir nos chers disparus ici sur la terre dans le monde nouveau promis par Jéhovah Dieu. avec tout notre amour, Michel Paradis et son épouse France.
