Audrey Barsky

October 1, 1928 - November 27, 2020

Audrey Barsky (née Epstein) passed away Nov. 27 at age 92. Born in Boston, she moved to Montréal to marry her beloved Arthur in 1947. They had many wonderful years together before his death in 1975. She is survived by her devoted son Brian who was at her bedside for her final three weeks; cherished daughter-in-law Nancy Schiff; dear brother Richard Epstein and sister-in-law Judy Ackerman; nephews Mark and Scott Epstein and their families; niece Arlene Fels; and a wide circle of loving friends. Special thanks to Phyllis Angel. Extraordinary care was provided during her last six weeks of life by Maison St.-Raphaël. Her charity of choice was the Center for Youth Development through Law in Berkeley, California. Donations to Maison St.-Raphaël would also be welcomed. Graveside service at Mount Royal Cemetery on Dec. 1.

when i think of audrey, i see her smiling with warmth, openness and a ready laugh. she spoke of you with such admiration tenderness. her love for nancy was immediate and unqualified.
i know that once you are back home and have had time to absorb all the anxiety, dislocation and chaos of the past months, you will find the space to hold your mother's memory close.
