In Celebration of
Enid Carol Daley (nee Rockburn)
February 20, 1931 -
August 10, 2021
Enid Carol Daley, born Enid Rockburn in 1931, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family and her beloved cat Noah on August 10, 2021.
Raised in Verdun, she was later married from 1957-1979 to (the late)George W. Daley and in Chateauguay they brought up their children Marlene (Diane Perkowski), Elaine (deceased), John and Andrea. Enid would later live in Lachine, Snowdon, St. Patrick’s Square and Monkland Village (NDG).
Working at Air Canada for 25 years, Enid enjoyed travelling to many countries (often solo) and exploring new cuisines. She was a voracious reader, took courses at the Thomas Moore Institute and at Concordia, practiced yoga, Ikebana, and journaling. She loved art and music and especially rooting for her beloved Montreal Canadiens. Her sweet nature, wit, courage and curious mind will be forever missed.
On behalf of Enid, we want to deeply thank so many whose care and kindness helped her along the way.
Blessings to the home care team at CLSC Benny Farm, the friends and staff at St. Margaret’s Day Centre, Dr. Catherine Ferrier and the MGH Memory Clinic, medical staff at the Glen (MUHC), her guys at Urgences Sante, and her very special family physician, Dr. Rishi Chugh.
For all she has given us, we are truly grateful.
