In Celebration of

Elizabeth Molnár (Brandhuber)

July 20, 1922 -  October 2, 2019

Elizabeth Molnar (Brandhuber) died peacefully on October 2, 2019 at the age of 97 years. +
She leaves behind her children, Karoly Moosz of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Alex Moosz (Jeannie) of Montreal, Quebec, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many extended family who will dearly miss her.
She is pre-deceased by her parents, Pál Molnár and Mária Móri, and her five brothers and sisters.
Elizabeth was a resident of the Foyer Hongrois and recently in the care of the fine staff at the Centre d’Hebergement LaSalle. Her family wishes to give a special thanks to her longtime caretaker, Luz, who was a source of comfort and happiness to Elizabeth in her last years.

Elizabeth was born in Budapest, Hungary and with great courage escaped in 1956 with her two boys not knowing what the future would bring but with a determination to make a better life for them in Canada. Before leaving Budapest, Elizabeth had started a career in opera, but family was more important to her. Her hard work and that same determination was her focus throughout her life as she developed a career and business as an esthetician in Montreal and Los Angeles. She will always be remembered for her amazing Hungarian cooking and her absolute joy of having a table full of people.

Condoleances to the Moosz family- 'Elza neni' , with whom I grew up since our 'departure' from Hungary in December of 1956 was a mainstay in my life during my early years.

Will always remember her as a sweet, caring and very gentle person with a heart of gold.

She has led a long lufe and Im happy to hear she passed away peacefully,
