In Celebration of

Egidio Raffaele Santelli

July 19, 1934 -  February 1, 2019

Egidio (Eddy) Raffaele Santelli, 84, of Bromont, Quebec, passed away peacefully on 02/01/2019. He was born on 07/19/1934 in Montreal, Quebec, to parents, Carmelo Santelli and Vinzenzina Vetere , who emigrated from Italy. Eddy was first married to Julia D'Errico in 1956 , producing three children, Robert, Laura and Mark. He was later married to Therese Galazzo from 1976- 2001.

In his last years , he and Huguette Thivierge lived in the eastern townships - first in Austin, and then in Bromont, where they both enjoyed nature and golf, entertaining, and cooking for friends and family.

Eddy's passion was good food, wine, skiing, and golf. He spent many of his last years on the golf course perfecting his game and enjoying the beautiful foliage of the eastern townships.

One of the people most dear to Eddy was his sister, Lea Romanelli of Harrison, NY and later Oklahoma City, OK. Even though they lived far apart, the love between them was inevitable. Eddy was a wonderful grandfather to his five grandchildren, and loved to cook for them, take them on trips and of course , spoil them.

Egidio (Eddy) was preceded in death by his father, Carmelo Santelli; mother, Vincenzina Santelli; and sister, Lea Romanelli. He is survived by son, Robert; daughter, Laura (George Desrosiers); son, Marc (Christina Paponi); granddaughter, Tatiana Laivins; grandson, Erik Laivins; granddaughter, Katrina Laivins,; grandson, Alexander Santelli; and granddaughter, Kaitlyn Santelli.

The family has entrusted Mount Royal Commemorative Services with the arrangements. Calling hours are scheduled for Thursday, May 9th, from 2-4pm, and 6-8 pm at 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, Quebec . A private graveside service will be held for the immediate family and loved ones, on Friday, May 10th at 11:00am.
