In Celebration of

Dorothy Ainslie Evans Stephen

August 6, 1922 -  November 7, 2017

95 years well lived. Ainslie was a life-long resident of Montreal and summer resident of Tadoussac. She gave to others by volunteering tirelessly at St. Peter's Church in the Town of Mount Royal (where she lived for more than 60 years), for the Montreal General Hospital, the Red Feather/Centraide, and The Tadoussac Protestant Chapel. She was a member of The Royal Montreal Golf Club, The Atwater Club and The Twinski Club for many years and enjoyed golfing, tennis, badminton, skiing, and playing bridge. She loved the outdoors and all four seasons – including Montreal winters! Gardening was also a passion both at home and in Tad. She was keenly interested in family history - both her own and other Tadoussac families and was a helpful resource to many.

Ainslie was predeceased by her father Trevor, mother Dorothy, husband William, sister Phoebe (Ernest), and brother Trevor. She is survived by her brother Rhodes Bethune (Tim), sisters-in-law Jilly and Claire, children Margaret (Jeff), William (Giselle) and Peter (Cathie), grandchildren Alexander James (A. J.) Stephen and Mary Stephen as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Friends are invited to visit at The Mount Royal Funeral Complex 1297 chemin de la Forêt, Outremont (QC) H2V 2P9 (514) 279-6540 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel at the same location on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
