In Celebration of

Diana Louise Dillingham

November 14, 1954 -  April 23, 2017

The Dillingham family is very saddened to announce the sudden death of their beloved Diana. Diana lived in Montreal and for 35 years worked in team roles in various locations with the CIBC. Diana - a keen equestrian from birth - carried on her passion as a well-respected Equestrian Canada (EC) Senior Dressage Steward and a Federation Equestre Internationle (FEI) Steward for Canada. One of her highlights as an FEI Steward was being part of the Official team at the Pan American Games in 2015. Diana was the daughter of Franklin and Pamela (née Kemp) Dillingham (deceased), is survived by her brother Charles (Mary) of Mississauga, Ontario and her sister Leslie ‘Desi’ Dillingham MBE of London England and was predeceased by her sister Shirley (Benoit) of Hudson, Quebec. Diana cherished being with family and adored all cats, dogs and horses. She was a very loving and loved aunt, sister, cousin and friend. She will be sorely missed by one and all. A visitation will be held at Belvedere Funeral Complex, 22025 Route Transcanadienne, Senneville, Qc H9X 3L7 514-457-4440 www.mountroyalcem.com on Thursday, April 27th from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m, and Friday, April 28th from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. immediately followed by a celebration of life at 2 p.m. in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to an animal focused charity of your choice.

Diana meant the world to us. She was loving and caring and has kept the family together with her many phone calls for Birthdays and special occasions. She really cared for family and friends and did her best to be their for good and bad times. She is already missed by all of us and We are sure she has found a shopping mall in Heaven.
May God Bless Diana and we miss her so.

I wish to express my sympathies to the Dillingham family. Diana was well respected and well liked member of the equestrian community. As well, her encouraging comments to all of the competitors especially when she saw someone having a bad day will be sorely missed.
I was also lucky enough to have counted her as a friend.
Her presence will be missed. My deepest sympathies.

We grew through Pony Club, Horsemanship Club, horse shows and events...wonderful memories of a great competitor and friend. Diana will be sadly missed.

Andy and Linda Henry (Cousin)

Diana and her success at keeping her extended family connected is sincerely appreciated by all. We will miss her birthday calls, her always cheerful disposition, her late arrivals and her numerous gifts of Russell Stover candy! It was a great pleasure to be with Di while she enjoyed a home cooked meal and pontificated her opinions on American politics. Who will ever forget Diana dancing to the Hora and singing "O Canada" at one of her cousin's weddings. She was a very special treat and will be remembered with great fondness.

I send my condolences to the Dillingham family at this very sad time. As a dressage judge, I came to know Diana at the horse shows, and as someone has already said, Diana could always be counted on to be helpful to the riders. She would answer their questions and listened to all points of view when having to make decisions that reflected a fair assessment of a situation. We will remember her smile, her generous nature and her hat! Diana will be so missed by all her colleagues. She was a singularly wonderful person.
