David Podwalski

After a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer, Dave died peacefully surrounded by family.

Dave was born April 19, 1952 to Kazimierz Podwalski who passed in 2006, and Barbara Houghton.

Beloved husband to Johanne; Father to Michael (Kate) and Richard (Olivia); Brother to Steve (Judy) and Ken (Karen); as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. Dave’s (Papa Dave) pride and joy in life were his 5 Grandchildren, Henry, Nora, Ellie, Lyla and most recently Felix David.
He also leaves behind the mother of his children, Maria.

Visitation at the Belvedere Funeral Complex, 22025 Trans-Canada Highway, Senneville, Quebec, H9X 0B2 on Monday, August 1, from 6pm-10pm. If you are able to attend his memorial, in true ‘Dave style’, this is to be a get together to share memories. Guests will be able to ‘tell a Dave story’ to the room if they so wish. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MUHC or Canadian Cancer Society. We invite you to sign the guestbook under the appropriate tab.

Dearest Johanne and extended Podwalski family, our deepest condolences.

Our paths trace back to the good ole’ Hoechst days where he and my father Curlan had many a good laugh together. We stayed in touch via the annual football pool where his good-spirited energy, jabs and barbs bolstered the camaraderie.

For everything there is a season. Find peace, love and strength in all those around you; and may every memory serve as a blessing.

He will be greatly missed 👣

Have many memories of growing up in Laval. As children, we had our differences. But, we always had each other’s back.
When you moved to the States, we were not as close.
But, through my medical issues you were always there with sound advice and encouragement.
In your life, you have touched many people and made a huge difference there lives.
You will be in many peoples hart’s forever.
Rest In Peace.
