In Celebration of

Christos Kavathas

April 1, 1966 -  January 3, 2022

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Chris Kavathas at the much too young age of 55.

He passed away after fighting a chronic medical condition. He will forever be missed by his daughters Katerina and Filia, his siblings Lola and Thano, and his father Nicholas.

He was tragically predeceased by his son Nicholas Kavathas in 2020 and his mother Katerina in 2017.

Chris had a personality larger than life, with a boisterous laugh that could light up a room.

He loved having friends and family over for dinner where he would cook his renowned dishes, including but not limited to, his famous roasts and potatoes. A truly welcoming host, he genuinely enjoyed the company of the people he cared about.

Having always been an enthusiastic traveler, he’d journeyed the world several times throughout his life and especially loved Tokyo, Shanghai, and Greece.

He will always be remembered as being the life of the party, as he could turn a mundane car ride into a karaoke session, or turn your frown into a smile with his infectious optimistic nature.

A funeral service will be held on January 26th, 2022, at the Mount-Royal Funeral Complex 1297 Foret Rd, Outremont, H2V 2P9.

A 43 year friendship with Chris when we bonded in outremont high school after being his older brothers (Thanos )friend !! We had many great moments together, he was eccentric and ahead of his time from a very young age :) Rest In Peace Chris I will always remember when you called me “Theodoraki” and always asked me what I was cooking !! We will all miss you and remember you 🙏☹️
