Carl Erik Plet

July 20, 1938 -  May 27, 2018

Died peacefully in his 80th year on May 27th, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital. Myelodysplasia, a form of blood cancer, had been diagnosed in February of 2017.

With him were his beloved family, partner Marion Leroux, son Erik (Stephanie), daughter Melanie (Ryan) and grandchildren Audrey, Clara, Bea and Killian, his source of great joy. He is survived by brothers Fred and George, both of Ottawa, numerous in-laws, and other relatives in Ottawa, Ohio, Denmark and New Zealand.

Born and raised in Ottawa, Carl resided in Montreal since 1962. His career involved firms now known as Price Waterhouse and KPMG, then the Expo 67 Corporation and Chemcell Ltd., followed by thirty years with Air Canada. An active musician in the 1950s and '60s, enthusiastic skier, hiker, traveler, and summer resident of Eagle Mountain Harbor, Vermont. "I've had a truly wonderful life with few regrets. What could be better than that?"

A celebration of that life will take place at Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Forêt, Outremont, QC H2V 2P9, on Saturday, June 16th, 2018 from 1 to 4 pm. Remarks will start at 1:45 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary's Hospital, Department of Oncology, 3830 Lacombe Avenue, Montreal, QC H3T 1M5, would be much appreciated.
