Barbara Roberton Reeves
1934-2017

Surrounded by her children, Barbara died peacefully at age 83 on January 19th, 2017. A lover of sailing and the outdoors, Barbara always had the wind in her sails, both in life and on the water. She possessed an innovative spirit, solving problems with ingenuity. Barbara grew up in Montreal with her three brothers (John, Jaime and George), becoming an architect by profession, and remaining a builder to her core. Together with Jacques, she built a strong family of seven children (Marianne, Patricia, Cathy, Suzanne, Jackie, David and Adele), a vibrant community in Ste. Agathe and, later in life, houses with Habitat for Humanity. She will be missed by her family and friends, including 15 grandchildren, for her sense of adventure, humour and calm nature.

Family and friends are welcome from 4:30 p.m. on Friday, January 27, at The Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, H2V 2P9, 514-279-6540,www.mountroyalcem.com. Entourée de ses enfants, Barbara est décédée paisiblement le 19 janvier 2017 à l’âge de 83 ans. Amoureuse de la voile et de la nature, elle avait le vent dans les voiles sur l'eau et dans sa vie. Elle était appréciée pour son ingéniosité qu’elle partageait avec la communauté. Architecte de carrière, sa plus grande réussite sera la réalisation d’une exceptionnelle famille de sept enfants (Marianne, Patricia, Catherine, Suzanne, Jacqueline, David et Adèle) incluant 15 petits-enfants qui ont tous vécu l’expérience de son coin de paradis à Ste-Agathe. En fin de carrière, elle aura collaboré à l’organisme Habitat pour l'humanité.

Les visiteurs seront accueillis à compter de 16h30 le vendredi le 27 janvier 2017 au Complexe funéraire Mont Royal, accès 1297 chemin de la Forêt, Outremont, H2V 2P9, 514-279-6540, www.mountroyalcem.com. Une cérémonie aura lieu cette même journée à 17h00 en la chapelle du complexe suivi d’une réception.
