It is with heavy hearts that the family of Anton Hold announce his passing on May 22, 2022, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years, Anita Joest, he leaves behind his children Markus (Susan) and Betina (Greg); three grandchildren Krista, Alexander (Krystina), and Katarina. He will also be missed by brother-in-law Hans-Peter (Christine); nephew and nieces James (Christina), Elisa and Hannah, as well as his extended family in Austria.

Anton was a man who worked his whole life to provide for his family while also maintaining many lifelong friendships with fellow members of the Austrian Society of Montreal, as well as peers and customers from his decades of work as a mechanic. His sense of humor, love of storytelling, passion for ballroom dancing and boundless energy will be dearly remembered by everyone his life touched.

The family will receive condolences on June 17th from 13:00-16:00 at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont QC, H2V 2P9 A service will be held at 16:00 followed by a gathering of Tony’s family and friends at the Complex from 17:00-19:00.
