Alfeo Demanins

January 6, 1929 -  May 29, 2018

We are sad to announce the passing of Alfeo Demanins at age 89, on May 29, 2018, following a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. He leaves to mourn his wife, Maria (Mastroberardino), his six daughters: Anna, Rosa, Lucia, Lina (René Desautels), Silvia, Rita (Andy Hoppe), as well as his ten grandchildren: Russell, Daniel, Casey, Keenan, Adrien, Justin, Julien, Karina, Alyssa and Julie, and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Monday June 4th, 2018, at 10am at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Forêt, Outremont, H2V 2P9. 514-279-6540.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Canada.

Nous sommes tristes d'annoncer le décès d'Alfeo Demanins à l'âge de 89 ans, le 29 mai 2018, après une longue lutte contre la maladie de Parkinson. I had the pleasure of meeting Anna’s father once at Christmas at her house
And once in the country
He showed us how to cut the wood into logs and was an encyclopedia of information I thoroughly enjoyed and feel a priveledge to have known him

Dear Alfeo,

Thank you for all the wonderful memories of you and your loving family, and your always generous hospitality. I will never forget hunting rabbits in a November Quebec snow storm - just you and me - what an adventure!

My deepest condolences to my cousins Maria, Anna, Rosa, Lucia, Lina, Sylvia, and Rita. I hope we can see each other again soon. Meanwhile, my heart is with you during this time of parting.

It was always a pleasure to talk with Alfeo at family gatherings. Many stories about his life experiences and the changes he was witness to. A very sad passing but a full and productive life. He and Maria blessed us with six wonderful daughters. My deep condolences.
